Kimono
is famous in the whole world as a traditional apparel of Japan. Both men and
women wear it. It is wrapped around the whole body with loose sleeves and legs.
It is like a jacket in two pieces with top and pants. But now it has been
changed a lot over many years from traditional old kimonos because of new
thinking and innovations and now it has been emerged as a modern BJJ Gi for Judo. In ancient times when
warrior used to fight this martial art they used to wear a loose uniform and
now it is modified in a modern form. This dress is graceful, beautiful and
comfortable and that is the reason why it is adopted by other cultures also
other than Japan.
Because
of the day by day increasing popularity of Jiu Jitsu Gi, many online stores are
available that claims to provide you best products. But many alternatives often
confuse us. Here I am going to give you some guidelines on how and where you
can get perfect Kimonos for you. Some factors like weave, pounds, patches,
shades should be very well considered while purchasing BJJ Gi.
Weave
is a kind of material that is used to create fabric that has different forms
like single, double, gold, pearl, honey. Ideal weight of Jiu Jitsu Gi should be lighter as much as
possible such as between 6 to 7 pounds.
Patches can be thought as a style of kimonos which may be different in
different brands. Even some brands manufacture without patches and include some
embroidery to make it look graceful. Another important factor is pants which
generally come in three varieties which are canvas, drill cloth or rip quit.
Most preferred is drill cloth which rip is fashionable. You have to be very
careful while choosing color especially in case of competition because they
allow only white, blue and black colors.
